Drexel Project
In Palm Beach County, Florida, stands the Drexel Building—managed by The Housing Authority of Palm Beach County and home to residents aged 55 and older. In July 2024, this building became the focus of a crucial electrical upgrade, and SANVEL ELECTRIC had the honor of taking on the challenge.
This was no ordinary task. It required the complete replacement of a meter bank servicing 14 apartments—a critical component for the residents' daily lives. SANVEL ELECTRIC had just five days to complete the job under a government contract, a tight deadline demanding precision, coordination, and above all, responsibility.
Meticulous planning was essential. First, residents were temporarily relocated to a nearby hotel. Then, coordination with Florida Power & Light (FPL) was required to schedule the electrical disconnection and reconnection.
On-site, the SANVEL ELECTRIC team ensured every step of the replacement complied with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Every wire, every connection had to meet the highest safety standards. City inspectors reviewed the work and approved it with full confidence.
By the end of the fifth day, the new meter bank was installed, tested, and fully operational. Residents returned home with peace of mind, knowing their building now had a safer, more reliable electrical system.
What began as a demanding project became a story of teamwork, professionalism, and success. For SANVEL ELECTRIC, it was more than just a job—it was a promise kept, a challenge embraced, and a mission accomplished.
